rescue dog

Roxy

Six-year-old Roxy was rescued by RSPCA officers investigating animal cruelty and was extremely nervous. She’s much more confident now but can be a little wary around new people so needs time to come of her shell. She’s very playful and affectionate, once she knows you. Roxy is patiently waiting at RSPCA Sheffield Animal Centre and staff would like her to go to owners with lots of time to help her settle in. For more information check out her online profile.

Rocky and Ruby

This golden oldie pair are hoping to find a loving new home together. Rocky, 14, and Ruby, 11, are being looked after by staff at RSPCA Bath Cats & Dogs Home. They love people and are extremely affectionate but struggle around other dogs. They love fuss and attention, live snoozing on the sofa, and can be left alone for short periods. For more information please visit their online profile.

Link

Nine-year-old Staffie cross Link is an intelligent and active boy who is also a little sensitive. He’s very frightened of loud noises and is looking for new owners who can continue his training to build his confidence. He’s currently at RSPCA Woodchurch Animal Centre in Kent. He loves fuss and attention, and could live with children but would be best as the only pet. For more information visit his online profile.

Matted, filthy dog rescued from ‘hellish’ conditions is now prize-winning pooch!

RSPCA officers rescued 22 matted, filthy dogs from a home earlier this year

When you look into Hobbit’s bright eyes and stroke her glossy, fluffy coat you’d think she’d always lived the life of Riley.

But last year the poor two-year-old was living in disgusting conditions, in her own filth with 21 other dogs.

Hobbit and her friends were rescued from a home on the border of Hampshire and Wiltshire by RSPCA officers in March after complaints* to the charity about the dogs and the conditions they were living in.

Lola 3

Who could resist Staffie Lola’s incredible Dumbo ears!? This one-year-old is an excitable but friendly dog who needs help with some basic training. She was rescued by the RSPCA as her owners could not properly feed her. She’s always on the go and is quite bouncy so would be best in an adult-only home with no other pets. She’s at Macclesfield, South East Cheshire & Buxton branch. Call 01246 273358 for more details.

Lola

Lovely Lola is a two-year-old Staffie who is full of beans. She’s a friendly pooch who loves spending time with people but is sadly being overlooked by potential adopters. She’s looking for an adult-only home with an owner who will take her for lots of long walks and keep her physically and mentally stimulated. She’s at Chesterfield Animal Centre, in Derbyshire, and you can find out more by calling 01246 273358.

Charley

Charley - with a slightly different spelling - is a four-year-old rottweiler who was rescued from a puppy farm in February last year. She’s come a long way and is a cheeky, clever girl who loves human company and is looking for a home as the only pet. She’s a little wary around new people and dogs so would benefit from more socialisation. She’s at South Godstone Animal Centre, in Surrey. For more information about her please call 0300 123 0741.

Charlie

Eight-year-old crossbreed Charlie was rescued from her previous home after being kept in unsuitable conditions. She’s a gentle giant who loves attention from her friends but can be a little wary around new people. She can be a little strong on the lead so would like some more training while out walking. She’s at Felledge Animal Centre, in County Durham, where she’s waiting for an adult-only home. More information is available by calling 0300 123 0708.
