Bella finally found 110 miles from home after four months missing

The spaniel was reunited with her ecstatic family after she was stolen exactly four months earlier

A beloved pet dog who was stolen from outside a supermarket has finally been reunited with her family four months after disappearing.

Four-year-old springer spaniel Bella went missing from Northampton on 20 October and was found more than 110 miles away - in Bristol.

The black and white dog wandered into a shop in Bristol on 10 February - four months after disappearing from outside a shop.

Hefty hounds Nelson, Fern, Sprite and Beano may look like they could take on the world, but these sensitive souls have not had an easy life. Now in RSPCA care, they are waiting patiently for their forever homes.

The four gentle giants came into RSPCA care as part of a cruelty case after they were discovered in terrible conditions on a farm last year.

Neglected pug dumped in the dark by the side of the road

Petunia was found collapsed in the road in north-west London

The RSPCA has appealed for information after a pug was found collapsed and dumped in a north-west London street riddled with infection.

Petunia - as she was later named by RSPCA staff - was found abandoned in Links Road, Cricklewood, at around 11pm on Friday 18 March. She was curled up in blanket with her head down.

Dog friendliness on my doorstep!

It's not every day that you wake up and find that a town which is
virtually on your doorstep is launching a bid to be the dog-friendliest
town in Britain, but that's what happened to me this morning.
Bridgnorth, a very picturesque town in Shropshire, is setting out to
dethrone Keswick in the Lake District as being the most dog friendly UK
town. And since this is a place I can, and do, visit with my dog, it
caught my interest.

Battersea launches UK’s first ‘Siesta Time’ for dogs

Enter Battersea Dogs & Cats Home’s kennels between 12 and 1pm and you can hear a pin drop. You certainly won’t hear barking but perhaps the odd snore as hundreds of homeless canines enjoy an afternoon siesta. The world famous rescue has taken a tip from the continent and introduced a daily ‘Siesta Time’ to reduce the stress levels of its residents.

Battersea’s Staffies show their winning smiles in hopes of securing a new home

Staffordshire Bull Terriers at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home are practicing their best smiles in hopes of finding a new and loving home. Roxy and Kye are posed for the cameras ahead of International Day of Happiness on Sunday 20 March.

Four-year-old Kye was given up to Battersea due to his owner’s allergies and is hoping that his beaming smile will win over a new owner whilst beautiful Roxy is a wonderful example of her breed. Roxy absolutely adores people and can be often be seen sitting in her kennel with the widest grin in hopes of enticing someone for a tummy scratch.
