Okay check this story out. Sarah Harding from pop group Girls Aloud has a new puppy. Aah! He's all cute, and he's so little he hasn't even got a name yet. Sarah described the puppy as her "baby" as she took him along to a meeting with her on the day she got him.

The Hazzards of dog theft

I’ve just spotted in the news that John Schneider – remember him as the blond brother in the original Dukes of Hazzard show? – has had his two dogs stolen.

He had bought two puppies as Christmas presents for his children, and he had left them in his car, which was then stolen. Though the car has been recovered the puppies are still missing. The puppies are ten week old Yorkshire Terriers.

Star was such a cute baby - I can't believe she was ever that small though!

I love this photo of Star finally getting her man. She had been trying for ages to lick his ear, and he had fended her off and fought valiantly for ages. Then at last she wore him down and he gave in.

She’s just so intent on licking, and he’s laughing and squirming at the same time, it always makes me smile.

Dogs aren't Christmas presents

It may seem as familiar as the nativity at Christmas, but it’s time for a reminder about puppies and Christmas. Don’t buy a puppy as a Christmas present. Apart from anything else, Christmas is far too busy a time for most of us to devote the necessary attention to a new dog. The comings and goings will make it impossible for them to bond with their new pack and settle into a new home.
