Those of us who live with dogs know that they have feelings, and free will trainer Bethany Bell knows that too. In this fascinating interview, Bethany talks about the feeling dogs experience, the implications that has for training and living with a dog, and why canine emotions haven't always been taken seriously - or even acknowledged.

In addition, Bethany explains Free Will Teaching, and how that acknowledges dogs' emotions, and embraces natural language use. It's not about letting your dog do whatever they want to, but it is about giving them choices.

Free Will Teaching is all about bringing a togetherness between dog parents and their dogs. It's coming away from dogs being pets and more about them being companions and their own individual selves, not trying to change who they are.

Sarah consulted a dog whisperer to help her support the Corgis as they grieved their late mistress. Plus here about the Labrador Lurcher cross who saved her family from a fire, the robot dog artists in Australia, the Scottish dog who turned himself blue, and the Rottweiler puppy whose owner has to speak in a Northern Irish accent.
