You work with alternate and incompatible behaviours and the sky's the limit!
 - Pam Dennison

In this episode you can hear an in-depth interview with Pamela Dennison about reactivity and aggression in dogs. This is an issue that Pam has had to help many clients with, and in line with her approach of making training clear and fun to the dog, she has developed a Reward Zone system. In an effort to help even more dog owners who are struggling,
Pam has produced a DVD called, "The R.E.W.A.R.D. Zone for aggressive & reactive dogs", which has been nominated for best training DVD by the Dog Writers Association of America.

Pam discusses the DVD, including a clip of it which can be viewed on her website, Positive Dogs. She also talks very honestly about her own experiences reactivity and aggression, with her troubled dog Shadow. You can hear more about Shadow in Episode 60 of DogCast Radio. Pam is a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers, the Dog Writers Association of America and a Certified Animal Behaviour Consultant with the International Association of Animal Behaviour Consultants.

Also in this show, hear about the petition to stop towbar dog carriers coming to the UK. These dreadful contraptions are used to transport dogs on the back of cars, putting them in horrendous danger. If, like us, you are horrified by these, please sign the petition.

Plus, have you heard about the latest research from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia, into oxytocin and dogs? Well, if not listen in!
