Diesel is a vibrant and charismatic three-year-old Malinois crossbreed whose zest for life is downright infectious, and he is searching for his new forever home.
He arrived at RSPCA Leybourne Animal Centre 274 days ago after being rescued from an unsuitable environment, in poor condition. Now in full health, this handsome lad is bursting with energy, enthusiasm, and an unshakable belief that the humble tennis ball is the greatest invention of all time.
RSPCA behaviour and welfare advisor Jacqueline Kaye says: “There’s much more to him than boundless energy. Diesel is a smart and capable boy, already armed with basic life skills including a solid ‘sit’ and he is developing a promising recall. He’s a sociable soul too, enjoying calm strolls with polite canine companions, proving that when the moment calls for it, he can be a perfect gentleman.
“Diesel also has a playful, cheeky side. He loves a good “sniffari,” exploring the world through his nose and revelling in every new scent he discovers. He’s already had a stint as an office dog, charming staff and making himself the perfect canine co-worker.”
Diesel is now searching for a home that not only embraces his liveliness but celebrates it. He would thrive with someone who has experience with German Shepherds, Malinois, or other larger breeds, and who can offer him continued guidance, structure, and lots of playtime.
If you’re looking for a clever, affectionate, and fun-loving companion who will brighten your days and join you on every adventure, Diesel is revved up and ready to be part of your family.
Not in a position to adopt right now? Fostering Diesel could make a world of difference. Offering him time, care, and continued life-skills training will help him on his journey towards the forever home he truly deserves.
Diesel is ready. Are you? Apply here to rehome him, or search here for fostering opportunities. Other pets in need of rehoming can be found on the RSPCA FindaPet page here .
RSPCA frontline rescuers are currently doing all they can to help animals experiencing the very worst cruelty and neglect - including those who have tragically been left to fend for themselves - while our incredible animal centres are finding new homes for countless rescued animals each year.
Sadly, incidents of animal abandonment being reported to the RSPCA are on course to be at a six-year high. That's why this winter, the charity has launched The big give back to animals to raise vital funds for their frontline teams, and to ensure they can keep being there for the animals who give us so much, and ask for so little in return.
