Could your dog be the most eccentric looking dog in the UK?

Does your dog have a look all of his own? Does he attract attention for his appearance? If so maybe he could win himself and you some goodies:

BRITISH ECCENTRICS UNITE AS THE SEARCH FOR BRITAIN’S NEXT TOP DOG MODEL IS ON!

Forget Vivienne Westwood and Kate Moss, it’s Hawkshead country clothing retailer that’s causing a stir in the British fashion world, canine that is, as a nationwide search launches to find this season’s most fashionable and eccentric pooch.
Known for its love of quintessential British eccentricity and dog friendly stores, Hawkshead is calling on only the quirkiest canine fashionistas to put their best paw forward and submit an entry to become the face of this season’s Hawkshead catalogue.

There is no size zero debate here, in fact even the most interesting looking characters are urged to enter, from leggy Labradors to pouting Pugs, in fact the more individual the dog’s look the better.

The successful canine will win a modelling contract which sees the winner and its owner whisked off to a fashion shoot for the Hawkshead 2010 Spring/Summer catalogue and in-store promotional materials, which will be rolled out across stores and outlets nationwide. Dog owners aren’t forgotten either with the winning owner receiving £250 worth of Hawkshead clothing and footwear.

Owners of prospective models can enter the competition by sending one image of their pooch to Hawkshead with a short explanation of 50 words as to why their pet should be chosen as catalogue king or queen for 2010.

Entries can be submitted through local Hawkshead stores, online via the Hawkshead website: http://www.hawkshead.com, by email hawksheadhound@hawkshead.com, uploaded to Facebook http://www.facebook.com/pages/Hawkshead/296178626048 or by post: Hawkshead Ltd, Unit 8-9 Mercury Park, Mercury Way, Urmston, Manchester, M41 7LY. The deadline for entries is 10th February 2010. Entrants must also confirm their availability to travel to Manchester for the shoot on the 16th February 2010.
