Big, bouncy and beautiful - the St. Bernard

We've had some gorgeous St. Bernard photos added to the site today. You can see one at the top of this post, but there are more on the site. Check out Best Buddies, Time for a drink and Dr Watson. That last one is not a new one, but I love the comment, with the quick aside reference to drool and shedding! If you go to our St. Bernard breed profile page and scroll down there are more photos of listeners' dogs to see.

For a photo of a St Bernard with lovely calm eyes and such a benign expression, read the story of Rosie. That link is to an article appealing for help as Rosie needed to travel from Michigan to Utah for treatment at the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary for her hip dysplasia. Without treatment, Rosie's vet predicted she would have to be put to sleep within a year. To read the next installment of Rosie's journey check out this article about her arrival in Utah - thanks to public donations.

For another heart warming story, read how Bubba the St. Bernard needed a bit of extra care after he broke his leg earlier this year. I love the title of that article - Big dogs need big love! Meanwhile, Aspen is a St. Bernard who's busy as a reading therapy dog.

Take care,
