The Firmest Friend

I feel like if you take a madlibs and you put in all the same words for someone who is homeless or has an addiction, and a pitbull, it's pretty much the same way to describe them - misunderstood,
 - Andrew Fixell

Andrew Fixell grew up around dogs, and knows how special the bond is between owner and dog. He noticed that many homeless people have a dog, and many of those dogs are pitbulls. Perceiving how homeless people are marginalised by society, but how the love of dogs can bridge that gap, and provide a link , Andrew took to the streets of New York with his camera, to interview homeless people about their dogs. His documentary, The Firmest Friend, focuses on three people and their beloved pitbulls.

You can find out more about the film, and watch it via a link at The Firmest
Friend
website.
