Three new dog breeds competing at Crufts 2019

Three new breeds from across the globe are set to wow the public at Crufts, the world’s greatest dog show, for the first time this year.

The Black and Tan Coonhound, the Russian Toy and the White Swiss Shepherd Dog will all be competing at the show, which runs from the 7th until the 10th March at the NEC in Birmingham. Making their debut, the 12 Black and Tan Coonhounds, 34 Russian Toys, and 18 White Swiss Shepherds, will compete in the Imported Breed Register classes and could go on to take home the coveted Best in Show trophy.

Elderly pooch Eric is on the hunt for a calm, quiet home where he’ll have a comfy bed of his own, lots of affection, and at least nine hours or sleep every night!

Fourteen-year-old terrier cross Eric - who is 98 in dog years - is currently being looked after by RSPCA Danaher Animal Home, in Essex.

Fleecy pet bedding that is used to keep animals warm and comfortable is set to help rescue animals too as a UK manufacturer has teamed up with the RSPCA.

Vetfleece, a third generation family run business, manufacture super soft pet bedding that is widely used by those involved in the care and welfare of animals. It has been designed for use in kennels, crates and domestic homes for dogs and cats.

RSPCA takes on the ten year challenge

Following the success of the social media campaign, the RSPCA showcase their own 10 year success stories!

These two pictures don’t look like the same dog but lucky for Max the love and care of his new owner over the last ten years has brought him back to health.

Max, a weimaraner, was rescued by the RSPCA in 2009 from a house in Manchester, he had severe mange and was aged just three months old.
